We use specimen trees and shrubs, groups of plants and pots to provide focal points in the garden.
Our clients' front garden had a lot of hard landscaping, with a large slate terrace, drive and water feature. We enveloped the space with green foliage, giving year-round coverage, with interesting seasonal planting to soften the whole scheme.
Their back garden was mainly laid to gravel, with a disused water rill, which we turned into a real focal point by planting it with evergreen ferns and agapanthus. We added hostas and acers in pots, as well as grasses to the borders, to shift focus and provide movement across the shady space.
