Our design for this garden gave our clients a wonderful plant filled vista from the house. Focal points and new seating around the garden now offer invitations to venture into what was previously a simple, wide-open lawn.
Our design for this garden gave our clients a wonderful plant filled vista from the house. Focal points and new seating around the garden now offer invitations to venture into what was previously a simple, wide-open lawn.
Taking inspiration for our planting style from the period style greenhouse, existing mature green boundaries and two wonderful old apple trees , we designed wide borders to walk past as well as through and under, providing year-round colour, structure, texture and scent.

Linking to architectural details on the house, a new brick paver path leads the eye through three generous metal arches, planted with climbing roses and evergreen jasmine, which is already creating a beautiful scented walkway. A large wildflower meadow and new fruit trees keep the overall feel loose and relaxed, providing a haven for wildlife.

Year round presence from striking shrubs and plants such as Euphorbia and Cornus bring fantastic seasonal colour. And lovely seasonal Geums complement the orange tones.

With our clients' permission, these images show what a difference incorporating generous planting areas and new paths can make. Extending the small orchard and growing area, and laying a wonderful expanse of wildflower lawn, the space has become a haven for both the clients and wildlife. In a tucked away lane, just a few metres away from a busy high street, the clients feel a million miles away!
