Our clients wanted a garden for their grown up family, in which they could entertain, relax, play, work and exercise!
So we redesigned the space, creating a real destination at the bottom of the garden with a stunning lounging patio (sitting under a generous pergola to extend the season), a fire pit area for evening relaxation, an enlarged upper dining patio and a cedar clad studio, along with their existing gym.

The new sets of steps allow for easy access into the garden either to meander down to the entertaining space or quickly commute to work!

Naturally, generous planting areas soften all of the hard landscaping lines, helping to zone the garden, and wraparound all of the seating areas. Statement trees, complimentary pots and successional planting provide structure, colour and texture and that all important year-round interest, both from inside the house looking out, and within the garden itself .
Vanessa and Rachel were highly committed from start to finish in the careful planning and project managing of the complete redevelopment of our garden. They took time to listen to our ideas and translated them into a creative, thoughtful design that worked very well for the space we had, and delivered what we wanted for a family with older children. Their organisation and clear communication made the whole process very smooth. Each detail, from the layout and structure to the finishing touches, was executed with great attention. Vanessa and Rachel co-ordinatined all the different suppliers taking the stress out of the overall process. The planting scheme is very creative and it seems to change every month, offering new textures, colours and points of interest throughout the year - showing us that the garden which already feels well established will continue to evolve in exciting ways. We thoroughly enjoy spending time in different spaces in the garden.
