COUNTRY FAMILY GARDEN
We are delighted to have been involved in developing this wonderful space for our clients in Cambridgeshire.
We are delighted to have been involved in developing this wonderful space for our clients in Cambridgeshire.
Our clients have a beautiful home nestled in a newly developed courtyard in the old grounds of a stunning country home.
Their large garden was mainly laid to lawn with tired patios and paths around the back of the house and a disused pond. Views to the field beyond were hidden behind a tall hedgerow and large shrubs dominated the space.
So we worked on establishing views from inside the house and out, inviting our clients to different areas of the garden to relax and entertain.
A formal dining patio and kitchen patio were re-laid close to the house, with a more informal lounging area and wildlife pond further up the garden.

"Thank you both so, so much. The garden looks amazing with such beautiful planting – set off by the great job the Brownie Points team did with the landscaping. It has exceeded all expectations. The main problem now is that I fear I am going to be much less productive as I find many excuses to wander around the garden!!' Mrs W, Cambridgeshire
Hard landscaping materials really help to tie the scheme together - the choice of patio stone and gravel help to bring out the wonderful colours in the old original garden wall, and the new fence was painted to complement the window frames of the house.
And planting, as always, softens all of the lines and provides a wonderful textural feel to the space, bringing seasonal interest and year round structure. A newly planted avenue of trees guides visitors between the patios, whilst leaving plenty of lawn for family play. Statement specimens and oversized pots and water features provide some wonderful focal points, providing movement, sound and colour.
